    Born in 1942, Ian Davies served the University of Hong Kong in several roles, most notably as Vice-Chancellor from 2000 to 2002. Davies also helped establish the Faculty of Dentistry at HKU, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and the Registrar. Davies passed away in 2014.

    The bulk of the Ian Davies Collections consists of souvenirs and ephemera from Davies' time as Vice-Chancellor of HKU, including his Silver Bauhinia Star.
