Biographical / Historical

Dr. Patricia Aldridge began teaching in the University of Hong Kong's Department of Zoology as an assistant lecturer in February 1962. She was a native of the United Kingdom. Her hometown was Barking, a suburb of London. She received her BSc from the University of Manchester and her PhD from the University of London in late 1962.

By January of 1963, Dr. Aldridge was known as Dr. Marshall. Her husband, Alan T. Marshall, was also a lecturer in the Department of Zoology. In 1967 they both resigned from HKU and moved to Australia.
