Portraits of Famous Officials, 1931
Scope and Contents
Copies of 24 portraits of 24 famous officials in Tang and Song Dynasty, which includes 長孫無忌, 魏徵, 李靖, 陸贄, 裴度, 王曾, 寇準, 張方平, 晏殊, 韓琦, 富弼, 范仲淹, 文彥博, 蔡襄, 曾公亮, 蘇軾, 曾鞏, 韓忠彥, 呂希哲, 韓愈 and 韓世忠, etc., with captions written by Emperor Puyi. A colour portrait of 鄭夾漈 is also attached to the file. Most of the portraits are attached with a caption page. Captions are written in seal script (篆書) and with three stamps, writing "宣統御筆" (Emperor Xuantong (Puyi)'s caligraphy), "沖齡宸翰" (the young emperor's caligraphy) and "即此是學" respectively. The word "自強" (self-improvement) was marked on the bottom left of the title and "許地山 二十年六月" (Hsü Ti-shan [1931 Jun?]) was marked on the left hand side of the cover page.
