Biographical / Historical
The University of Hong Kong Archaeological Team was formed in 1956 to continue work from before World War II with the aim of furthering the discovery, excavation and preservation of prehistoric sites and relics in the Hong Kong region. A majority of the group were HKU staff under Dr. S. G. Davis, Professor of Geography and Geology.
