Biographical / Historical
Born in 1938 in Wales and educated at the University of Wales and Oxford University, Dafydd Meurig Emrys Evans was the prime-founded of legal studies in Hong Kong, serving as the HKU Law Department's founding Dean and Head from 1966 to 1987. Evans' primary research interests were land dealings in Hong Kong as well sa inheritance and succession law. He passed away in 2006.
