Biographical / Historical
Founded in 1887 by the London Missionary Society, the Hong Kong College of Medicine is the predecessor to the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine. Originally named the "Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese," the name was changed to "Hong Kong College of Medicine" in 1908, before forming the nucleus of the foundation of the University of Hong Kong in 1910.
