These photographs were originally displayed in a 2001 exhibit at the University Museum and Art Gallery titled "Past Visions of the Future: Some perspectives on the history of the University of Hong Kong." The exhibition used the photographs that now make up this collection together with architectural models and artefacts to display the history of the University.
This collection contains 288 large photographic reproductions (many are framed or on foam board). The majority are of various buildings on the campus of the University of Hong Kong. There are also photographs of campus events, students, administrators, and visitors. The collection includes a few historic photographs of greater Hong Kong as well. Of special interest are several photographs of the University campus taken directly after World War II showing damage to campus caused by the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong.
These photographs are not in any particular order.
