A letter written on 01 May 1936 (民國二十五年五月一日) to Hsu Ti-Shan by 盧鴻恕 (Lu Hongshu, also known as 盧子防 Lu Zifang), asking Hsu to write a preface for Lu's book 注音廣州語(Cantonese Romanization). With letterhead "潮安縣立中學校用箋" (Chaoan Provincial Secondary School) and envelope printing "潮安縣立中學校緘 校址西湖" (Sealed by Chaoan Provincial Secondary School. School at Xihu)

An envelope written "香港 香港大學 許地山先生台啟" (To Mr. Hsü Ti-shan, The Univesity of Hong Kong, Hong Kong), sent by 陳鴻舜 from 北平燕京大學圖書館 (Yenching University Library in Peiping), printed with "Yenching Journal" at the top, "If undelivered return to Yenching University Library Peiping China" at the bottom and "中華郵務總局掛號認為新聞紙類" on the right. Two $0.02 (二分) stamps are stuck to the envelope with postmark with markings "CHENGFU 10.6.27 成府"
