Scope and Contents

A collection transferred from the Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) which includes various types of materials including documents, photos, films, negatives and newspaper cuttings. Documents are mainly related to the planning and development of SWIMS Phase III with the donation from the Swire Group. Materials discussing the increasing number of visitors of Cape d'Aguilar are also found in the file.

Biographical / Historical

The Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) is a research facility of The University of Hong Kong School of Biological Sciences that opened in 1990. The research focus of SWIMS is on shallow water marine ecosystems.
